Betty is a certified yoga instructor who has taught professionally throughout New York City since 2015 in varied settings, including corporate sessions, classes at Lululemon stores, co-teaching a 1,100 people session of Yoga at Bryant Park, and appearances on TV including ABC’s Good Morning America. Her class is great for beginners and for those who need more of a challenge.
Betty is a lovable and free spirited Californian whose first experienced with yoga was in 2006. She found her true passion for practice in 2011 when she moved to New York City. Yoga really helped her feel grounded and helped navigate through the ebb and flow of a new city.
Yoga has organically & positively transformed all aspects of her life and she knew that she wanted to share this practice with others. Betty believes in passion for healthy living of the mind, body, and spirit. Her positive & supportive guidance creates a very harmonious atmosphere.
Betty completed her 200 hour teacher training at Sacred Sounds Yoga and her children's Yoga teacher training at Sonic Yoga with Next Generation Yoga, both in NYC. She teaches yoga and meditation classes in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She teaches an open level class focusing on the core, and she introduces and helps her students explore pranayama & meditation. The style and mood of each class or session is tailored to the audience she teaches.
Betty has been an avid volunteer for most of her life on this beautiful planet earth. She currently sits on the advisory board for Souljourn yoga, which is a non-profit that raises awareness and funds for girls' education in developing countries. She also volunteers as a meditation instructor for Catholic Charities, Guild for the Blind.
